What You’ll Do:

  • Lead radiochemistry experiments to develop robust radiolabeling processes and clinical formulations that meet target product profiles for diagnostic applications.

What You Bring:

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Radiochemistry, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Nuclear Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in radiopharmaceutical process development, formulation development, production, manufacturing, or tech transfer.
  • Hands-on experience using diagnostic and therapeutic radioisotopes (e.g., Ga-68, F-18, Cu-64 and In-111) is a plus.
  • Expertise in developing automated radiolabeling processes, including for GMP production or radiolabeled drug products.
  • Proficient in analytical methods like HPLC, radio-HPLC, radio-TLC, and quality control for radiopharmaceutical production.
  • Strong project leadership skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience working in managing cross-functional projects with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Your Purpose:

Alpha-9 Oncology is seeking a motivated Safety Associate to join our Safety and Compliance team in Vancouver. In this role, you will support safety programs and regulatory compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as radiation users, regulatory officers, and facility operations.

Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining safety protocols and ensuring compliance while contributing to the success of our operations and working alongside a passionate team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with all aspects of Alpha-9’s safety programs and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain and track documentation, including SOPs, radiation receipt, detector calibrations, radiation inventory, and disposal records.

Manager/Senior Manager Human Resources Operations & Payroll

Your Purpose

The Manager/Senior Manager, Human Resources Operations & Payroll, will partner with the SVP of Human Resources to deliver consistent HR operations support across the organization. This role will be responsible for executing HR Operations and serving as an HR partner to the Vancouver location. Key responsibilities include employee data management, reporting across multiple Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) platforms, payroll and benefits administration, HR compliance, leave management, and government, provincial, state, and other reporting. Additionally, you will oversee the processing and auditing of employee transactions, including new hires, benefits enrollment, payroll, and compensation changes, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulations. This location is based in our Vancouver office and will require onsite 4 days week.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage HR operations and generalist tasks for Canada and the US locations with a focus on Vancouver.
  • Ensure high quality HR data management; oversee day-to-day transactions, reporting, and ad hoc requests for data; own employee data and accuracy; ensure interdependency with HRIS, payroll, benefits, applicant tracking and onboarding system and other vendors/systems
  • Oversee and process biweekly payroll for the US and Canada offices, handle administration of tax related payroll compliance; document and track pay changes in payroll tracker.
  • Serve as HR Business Partner for employee onboarding, leave management, mid-year check-ins, benefits enrollment, performance reviews, objective setting, annual compensation cycles (merit and bonus), individual development planning, and offboarding.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in Talent Acquisition, IT, Finance, and the hiring manager to ensure a consistent onboarding and employee experience.
  • Create and run monthly, quarterly and annual HR data reports; examine and interpret data, identify trends, translate into recommendations and communicate to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Partner with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team on medical surveillance, Joint Health and Safety Committee, injury reporting to WorkSafe BC, workers compensation, and serve as an HR representative in JHSC meetings.
  • Partner with stakeholders and HR team to establish, update, and implement HR policies and requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and employee resource for Canadian HR Operations, HRIS, policies and process questions, with potential responsibilities for US-based employees.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field, CPHR certification preferred.
  • 6-8 years of Canadian HR experience, including fluency in HRIS and data management, reporting, audits, benefits, compensation, health and safety through WorkSafe BC, policy development and delivery, leave management and compliance administration; 2 years of experience as an HR Business Partner strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively balance between execution with flexibility, adjusting priorities when appropriate.
  • Proven ability to execute against deadlines, while influencing outcomes without direct authority or reporting relationship.

Alpha-9 Oncology is seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist, Analytical Chemistry to join our growing team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a passion for advancing analytical testing, particularly with radioligands and precursor compounds. Reporting to the Scientist, Analytical Development, you will play a critical role in supporting analytical testing and maintaining high standards in laboratory operations. You’ll have the opportunity to grow within a collaborative environment while contributing to the development of innovative cancer therapies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and standardize laboratory buffers, reagents, and solutions as required for experiments and analytical tests, ensuring proper concentration and quality control standards are met.
  • Assist in quality control testing by performing various analytical tests on radioactive/ non-radioactive samples, including but not limited to HPLC, LC-MS, and iTLC to assess the purity, stability, and concentration of radioligands and precursor compounds.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used in testing. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with instrumentation when needed.
  • Accurately collect and record data from experiments, process test results, and prepare technical reports and data summaries to present findings to senior staff.
  • Coordinate the shipment of laboratory radioactive/ non-radioactive samples to external partners or contract research organizations (CROs), ensuring proper documentation, packaging, and adherence to shipping regulations.
  • Manage laboratory inventory of reagents, chemicals, and consumables. Place orders for necessary supplies, track inventory levels, and ensure timely restocking to maintain uninterrupted lab operations.


What You Bring:

  • B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with 1 – 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC is considered an asset.
